FAYETTEVILLE — Call it “The House that Harley Built,” or maybe “Jimmie Carter Meets a V-Twin.”
Bikes, Blues & BBQ is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity to send bikers golfing on Thursday, Sept. 24. Proceeds from the golf tournament will go toward building materials for a Habitat home, which will be built during the 2010 rally by biker volunteers.
The partnership is a new way for the rally to give back to the community, and a new source of both fundraising and labor for Habitat, said rally coordinator Nelson Driver and Habitat director Jess Smith.
