It’s parade time through downtown Fayetteville.

The annual Parade of Power is underway, with a steady stream of bikes making the circle from Baum Stadium through the University of Arkansas campus, down Dickson and back to the track. From Fayetteville police Cpl. Jason Alvarado in front to the last trailing bike, the parade stretched two and a half miles.

The crowd favorite had to be a bride and groom, still in tux and gown, rolling along the route. Spectators hollered congratulations as they wheeled by.

One reported hiccup, though. Police had to stop some of the riders farther back so they could run a paitent with a medical emergency up Dickson to a waiting ambulance at the Dickson and College intersection.
