The winding Ozarks roads are beautiful but dangerous.

Arkansas State Police worked three motorcycle accidents in Northwest Arkansas today. They were cleaning up a fourth wreck Friday afternoon. A couple fender benders involving bikes are also in the mix.

Other law enforcement agencies reported Friday afternoon that there have been few motorcycle accidents in the area.

Remember: Arkansas law doesn’t require a helmet, but you gotta protect your eyes. Goggles and sunglasses are fine.

Racking the pipes will attract the attention of men with badges, according to local police.

A city ordinance banning “rapid throttle advancement,” or excessive revving, will be strictly enforced during the rally. Police have the discretion to cite riders without taking a decibel reading.

All the usual traffic, alcohol and public safety laws will be enforced according to regular procedures, police said. 

No weapons or firearms are allowed in the beer gardens, and those entering will be searched with metal detectors.
